“Nature takes away any faculty that is not used.” – William R. Inge.
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase; just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
We are all gifted. We all have unique abilities. None of us exist without something unique to navigate our paths through our journey on earth and to enjoy a seat in the hall of relevance. The assumed and perceived least amongst us is still a recipient of the divine seed of greatness.
If you don’t make things happen, then things will happen to you.
Each one of us carries enormous value. Interestingly, the giver of the gifts daily gives us opportunities, platforms, privileges, and relationships that should see us to these gifts and abilities. (Ecclesiastes 9:11).
Permit me to repeat; there is not a single person alive that God has not blessed with talents, gifts and abilities.
Even the greatest was once a beginner.Don’t be afraid to take that first step.
This understanding is essential so that we can stop creating or accepting any form of limitation. I may not have what you have, and you may not have what I have, but what we have is good enough for the life we have been destined to live.
None of us is limited by what we lack, but we only remain limited because of what we have that we failed to recognize, appreciate, utilize and maximize.
Vision must be followed by venture; it is not enough to have dreams; you must act on them.
Just like Moses, even if God has anointed your rod, you must recognize it and utilize it to see the results you desire. The Bible shows us that God anointed the Rod of Moses, but God still told him, “Moses, you have to lift it, you have to stretch it over the sea, and only then you will see the Red Sea divide.”
The secret of getting ahead is getting started.
There is so much we can learn from the situation of Moses. Yes, there is what God has given you power to do, there is something God has anointed you to do, there is something God has graced you for, but you must take action to see the results you desire and the manifestation of God’s grace and power. Recall that God said to Moses in Exodus 14:15-16, “Why are you crying out to me? Lift your staff and raise your hand over the sea…”
If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you will never get it done.
It was as Moses acted upon what God has anointed that he saw amazing possibilities, advancements, and honour before the people.
Dear friend, there is what man must do, and there is what God will do. God will not do what he has already anointed and empowered you to do.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you must start to be great.
Kindly also notice that when the Red Sea divided, God didn’t supernaturally move the people to cross the Red Sea, they needed to make a move themselves to cross the sea – they needed to take action.
For many of us, God has begun a beautiful process with us that requires our cooperation and actions, but we are failing to do our part. While many have been waiting on God for many years, God has been waiting for us.
Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
Yes, God gave you access to a training/academic program, but you are not spending time to study. He gave you access to significant opportunities, but you are too slow to do the needful. God has given you talents, but you are failing to believe in it and monetize it. He has given you access to great relationships, but you keep messing things up. He has given you access to resourceful people, but you are refusing to sit under them to learn from them.
God provides the wind, but man must raise the sails.
Dear friend, despite the fact God had anointed the rod of Moses, if Moses refused to act, nothing would have happened. Even though God had anointed the rod of Moses, if Moses refused to act, Pharaoh and his armies would have caught up with Israel.

Even though God has anointed you for ministry or some other special assignments, you also have to devote time to study the Word and pray, to experience the supernatural and the move of the spirit. Even though God has anointed your business/career/ideas, you have to be diligent, excellent, determined, innovative and consistent.
If you want to conquer fear, do not sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy!
The point here is this, discern your responsibility in your partnership with God – even when you have prayed, discern when God has divided the Red Sea for you and begin to walk into it; you and others may not see it with your physical eyes, but you have to discern it. It will require boldness; it will require confidence, but above all, it is going to be a demonstration of your faith in God and that which he has anointed in your life.
An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied.
Please note, it is not your business to divide the Red Sea; do your part by stretching forth your rod. Do your part by acting on the idea God has given you, do your part by acting on God’s instruction, do your part by maximizing your gift/talent, do your part by acting in faith.
The only impossible journey is the one you never begin.
Let us stop and drop all the excuses – it is not what we lack that is limiting us, but our limitation is because of what we have that we have failed to recognize, utilize, or maximize.
