ARE YOU NOT AN INGRATE? (Part 2)

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” – Zig Ziglar

It is easy to see the manifestations of God’s power, God’s defense, God’s provision and God’s protection when you live daily with a sense of gratitude to Him for everything happening to you, and for you. A culture of gratitude unlocks God’s power, God’s support and God’s possibilities upon a life.

You need to consciously cultivate a habit of being thankful for what you have before the next comes. Many of us are not grateful for what we already have that’s why progress and advancement eludes us, because we complain about everything.

For many people, their stagnation has nothing to do with the devil, it is because of the habit of ingratitude. I believe when God sees and hears some of us, He tells the angels: “Leave him/her at that level… When they learn how to be grateful to me for what I have done, then I will do more.”

In John 6, something very interesting happened. Jesus had finished preaching, and there were 5,000 hungry men staring at him (besides women and children). Jesus really wanted to feed them after the lengthy teaching/preaching session. So, Jesus asked his disciples where they could bread to buy, and his disciples gave him all kinds of reasons why it was impossible to get bread… They were in a place where food could not be bought, and besides they didn’t have the kind of money to buy bread to feed the huge multitude. Phillip actually said to Jesus: “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”

Miraculously, Andrew (brother to Simon Peter) spoke up, and told Jesus there was a young boy who was there with five loaves and two. All the disciples began to murmur: “What good can that be to this kind of multitude?”

You see, this is how many of us behave. A few minutes/weeks/months all doors were closed, but now God has started opening doors, we just can’t see what He has done, but we are focused on what He has not finished. Many of us are never grateful for what God has done for them.

As you do a further read of John 6, you will see how Jesus set an example of how to appreciate God and access His next level blessings for us. Scripture show us that Jesus ignored what His disciples were saying, but He took the bread and fish, lifted them to heaven and gave God thanks for His provision, and miraculously, the anointing for multiplication rested on the bread and fish, and it comfortably fed everybody, and the remnants filled TWELVE BASKETS.

Dear friend, anything you thank God for supernaturally multiplies. There is an anointing that rests on grateful people and anything they thank God for.

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you express gratitude to God. More so, your attitude of gratitude should not be dependent on things you can see, otherwise you may lose your spiritual sanity and your spirituality when all other your material needs are granted. Gratitude to God should be lifestyle, regardless of what is happening around you, or to you.

Become a grateful person even before your Isaac comes. This was the principle of Abraham… He lived a life of gratitude just at the promise of God. He was daily excited at the promises of God to him, and this always triggered thanksgiving from him to God.

“He [Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God….And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”

– Romans 4:20-21

A major secret that led to the manifestation of the promise of Isaac was Abraham’s attitude of gratitude to God. Become excited even at God’s promises to you. Your addiction to thanksgiving and gratitude to God will lead to the manifestation of your Isaac.

Blessed day further!
