“The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” – Nelson Mandela.
“He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Each one of us has a great future. Everyone born of God is destined for the top. Every creature of God has incredible potentials, but many are experiencing delays in their destiny because of the control of fear. The voice of fear appears to be louder than their desire to achieve anything.
The breakthroughs, accomplishment and indeed, the visibility of many is being hindered and impeded because of the control of fear; the enemy is gaining control over the lives and the interests of many through the instrument of fear and depressing thoughts.
We must be mindful of the power of the mind. Here is a counsel from scriptures, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” (Proverbs 4:23, NLT). Whatever dominates the mind will control our lives. If negativity, thoughts of failure, rejection and defeat dominates our thoughts – it will control our focus, and thus, affect our boldness and actions.
Nothing attracts limitation, helplessness, hopelessness and defeat like the control of fear. Fear empowers the enemy against you. Fear works against your potentials. When you believe everything that “fear” says you cannot do, you will continually live both opposite and less than your original destiny.
Anywhere fear is allowed to rule, the enemy determines the direction, the possibilities and the happenings in that place and in that life. Fear empowers the enemy to determine the limits and the impact of a person.
Here is God’s word to you today — “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid, for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you…” — Deuteronomy 31:6.
The enemy cannot gain access into a life without using the instrument of thought, and consequently, fear.
Fear is a channel which the enemy uses to communicate and establish his evil intentions and also to project his expectations into any life. When you submit to it, you create a platform for many undesirable things.
DECLARE THIS WITH ME: In the name of Jesus, I am free from the control of fear!
Possibly, there is a dream, a project or a responsibility God has given you, and the voice of “fear” keeps holding you back, today is the day to break free. Perhaps, you have a gift or a skill, and the voice of “fear” keeps making you doubt yourself, today is the day to break free. Declare over yourself like Apostle Paul, “For I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:14, NLT). There is absolutely nothing you cannot do. As a matter of fact, nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood. (Marie Curie).
Dear friend, fear can be an enabler or an obstacle; what ultimately matters is your response to fear. For many, their fears have propelled them to do great things, for many others, their fears have prevented them from doing remarkable things.
There are so many who are still struggling at the bottom of life because of the dominion of fear. They can be so much more, they can achieve so much more, and their voices can be louder in their generation, but fear!
The Bible tells us about the story of a certain man called Gideon (Joshua 6) who looked down on himself, but exalted and magnified the power and the activity of the enemy. This guy was destined to be a leader; the anointing of God was on him — but fear made him blind to the greatness he carried. Fear made him blind to the power and the possibilities that exists in God for him. He was ordained to be a man of influence, a man of impact and a deliverer in his generation, but fear made him believe otherwise.
DECLARE THIS WITH ME RIGHT NOW — In whatever way, the control of fear has negatively affected my vision, pursuits and direction, I decree that I am free right now, in Jesus name.
Gideon was destined to be a solution, but the control of fear made him to bow and submit to the same trials and battles of the people he was ordained to be a solution to.
Perhaps, several people had encouraged him to do something great with his life, but this guy would not believe he could — Until the day he had that encounter with God, and the Lord told him, “Gideon you are not small, Gideon you are not a failure. Gideon, you are stronger than what you are afraid of. Gideon, you are anointed for such a time like this. Gideon, you are a mighty man of Valour.” I believe this is precisely what God is saying to YOU right now.
Nothing great can happen in a life, unless you start winning over the battle of fear. Break free from fear, and you will be amazed at the kind of things you will start doing with your life. Break free from the believing and accepting the lies of the enemy, and you will be amazed at the manifestation of glory in your life.
No matter what is happening to you or around you, if you refuse to bow to fear, the situation will bow to you.
Here is what to do from today:
— You must discipline yourself to have unbreakable and unshakeable confidence in your God.
— Believe absolutely in what God has said about you and your destiny, and always declare it upon yourself until it guides and controls everything you do.
— Believe absolutely in the help of the Holy Spirit.
— Believe absolutely that God is always with you.
— Believe absolutely that whatever is committed to God’s hand must flourish.
— Believe absolutely that your life can never be under the dominion of the enemy.
— Believe that anything you attempt to do must end with great success.
Dear friends, whatever is in God’s hand is very safe. You are in God’s hand, your marriage is in God’s hands, your children are in God’s hands, and everything about you is in God’s hand. Face each day with confidence, and whenever the voice of fear speaks, be sure to reply.
“The just shall live by his faith.” — Habakkuk 2:4.
We have been called to live a life of faith; daily expressing our confidence in the love and ability of our God. WHEN YOU STOP LIVING BY FAITH, YOU START LIVING BY FEAR.
